Privacy

At Families of Purpose, we’re all about intention. That goes for how you parent, how you care for yourself, how you build relationships—and yes, how we collect and handle your personal information. Privacy isn’t just a technical checkbox for us. It’s about trust. It’s about respect. It’s about not using your email to sell you vitamins you didn’t ask for.

This Privacy Policy explains, in plain words (because no one has time for legal mumbo jumbo), what data we collect, what we do with it, and how we protect it. If you’re here, it probably means you care about what happens to your info. So do we.

What We Collect (and Why)

If you visit FamiliesOfPurpose.com just to browse and soak in some ideas, you’re good. You can do that without telling us a thing about yourself.

But if you sign up for our newsletter, download a printable, or reach out through a contact form, we’ll ask for a few basics—like your name and email. Just enough to send what you asked for or respond if you’ve got a question.

Behind the scenes, your browser might also hand over some info automatically. Things like your IP address, the type of device you’re using, or which pages caught your eye. This helps us figure out what content is working (and what’s getting ignored). We use that data to make the site better—cleaner, faster, more relevant to real people, not bots.

We don’t collect sensitive stuff. No financial info. No medical records. No “what’s your kid’s favorite color” unless you choose to tell us.

How We Use It

We use your data to give you what you asked for. That might be a newsletter with our latest tips for mindful family life. A reply to your message. Or a reminder about that printable you downloaded last week and forgot about (we’ve all been there).

We also use it to:

  • Improve the way our site functions
  • Track what topics people care about (and which ones flop)
  • Make sure the emails we send actually feel helpful—not annoying
  • You’ll never see your info popping up in random sales emails or passed on to marketers. That’s not our style. We’re in the business of connection, not conversion rates.

What We Don’t Do

We don’t sell your information. We don’t trade it, rent it, or share it with people who think sending cold emails is a good idea. If we work with trusted third-party tools (like a newsletter platform or analytics provider), they get access to just enough info to do their job. That’s it.

And we only work with companies that get it—companies that treat your data like something worth protecting, not exploiting.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser uses to remember what you’ve seen and done on a website. And yep, Families of Purpose uses them. They help us understand what articles you read, which links you clicked, and whether you came back for a second visit (we hope you do).

If you’d rather not deal with cookies, you can turn them off in your browser settings. It might make a few things less smooth, but the choice is yours. We won’t guilt-trip you for it.

Controlling Your Info

You’ve got options here. Always.

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from our emails anytime. One click, no weird questions.
  • Ask us what personal info we have on file (we’ll tell you)
  • Request that we update or delete your data (we’ll do that too)

This is your data, not ours. You get to decide what happens to it. And we’ll always respect that.

Keeping Your Info Safe

We use secure systems and trusted tools to keep your info protected. That includes encryption, regular backups, and limited access to any personal data you’ve shared.

Still, we won’t pretend we’re immune to risk. No website is. But if anything ever goes wrong—a breach, a leak, a hiccup—you’ll hear it from us first. Not from a headline.

Links to Other Sites

Sometimes we share links to books we love, apps we use, or resources we believe in. Once you leave FamiliesOfPurpose.com, their rules apply. Not ours.

We’re not responsible for what happens on someone else’s site. So if you’re entering payment info, creating accounts, or sharing anything personal over there—read their privacy policy too. Just to be safe.

What About Kids?

Families of Purpose is a site for grown-ups. Parents. Caregivers. People doing the messy, beautiful work of raising humans. It’s not built for kids, and we don’t knowingly collect personal info from anyone under 13.

If you’re a parent and think your child has submitted info here, reach out. We’ll delete it right away.

When We Make Changes

Every once in a while, we update this policy—usually because we’re improving something, using a new tool, or adjusting to privacy laws. When that happens, we’ll revise the date at the bottom of this page. We might mention it in a newsletter too.

By continuing to use the site after changes are made, you’re saying you’re cool with the updates. But if anything feels off, please let us know.

Need to Talk?

If you’re unsure about any of this—or just want to double-check something—we’re happy to help. You’re never a bother.

Drop us a note anytime at: contact@familiesofpurpose.com

We’ll answer honestly. We’ll never talk down to you. And we’ll always take your privacy as seriously as we take our purpose.
